Gymnocalycium is my favorite cactus genus, however, I never cared for the darker bodied ones. I just can't keep them alive.<BR/>The Parodia is new to me. I must look for one. I am really just learning how to care for cacti and I probably overwater them. I really tried to limit watering over the winter though, and then I started watering again in February when it started to warm up here in Arizona.
