waiting on flowers

It seems to take forever for some flowers to open, and I find myself checking them often, hoping for an open flower and good light to capture it with a picture!

Like the 6 or so on this little succulent above- an Anacampaeros rufescens, "Love Plant" - which has had one flower open, and at least 6 more coming! They are worth the wait but oh what a wait it is! The pictures above show the first bloom and the buds waiting to open.

This plant has been called a "Velvet Rose" but I'm not sure if that is accurate. This is a shot of one of two long arms that end up in clusters of buds. It seems close to at least one opening as today I can actually see the orange peeking through one of the buds!
