It's A Record - Ninth Wettest Day in May in Tucson!!

It is not often, I get to take pictures of my plants in the rain. Especially in May- it just doesn't rain in May in Tucson. However we broke a record withe the half inch that came down today- the Ninth Wettest May Day on record!

The biggest of the bean trees-soaking up the rain!

The hydrangea gets pinker by the day!

And the little balloon flower has been blooming like crazy.
We also broke a record for low temperature, and Monday we broke a record for high temperature when it got up to 102- a week for weather records! The forecasters are predicting an early and wetter than usual Monsoon season- I can't wait!

Hi Dee,
Up here in the Phoenix Area we had a wonderful rain after midnight today. I couldn't believe it. I have lived in this area for 28 years and it just never rains in May. I can just feel how happy my plants are! Yours are absolutely beautiful!

Your plants look great in the rain! I wonder how long the rain and lower temperatures will last.

It must be so different living somewhere where rain is rare! Your photographed plants do look as if they are rapturously soaking up the lovely water!

That rain was odd, yet I loved it. The calichi was wet enough to surrender the weeds without too much of a fight, so I weeded in the rain all morning. It was great.
