A Cholla flower for Cactus Monday
I have two kinds of Cholla in my yard- the chainfruit Cholla I've shown previously that has the pink flowers and this one that I have yet to identify. I love the yellow-orange flowers. Anyone able to ID it for me?

I don't know what it is but the blooms are gorgeous.

Beautiful blooms! HCM!
I haven't got a clue what it's called, but it kind of reminds me of fresh salsa with a dollop of sour cream...
Gorgeous photos. I would say that is a buckhorn cholla because the filaments look red. Staghorn cholla blooms look similar except the filaments are yellowish green.
what beauty. hcm fellow cactuteer.
Very pretty!
I'm afraid I don't know one clolla from another... but I do like them!
Desert USA has a good bunch of cholla types HERE...maybe you can find yours from the descriptions! Good luck! Happy Cactus Monday!
Lovely sharing of your cactus bloom!
HCM!
oh, i don't know the name too, but i love the flower. thanks for sharing your wonderful cactus bloom.
I was going to suggest Buckthorn, too, but Diane beat me to it -
And now I know to look at the filaments, thanks, Diane!
Thanks for your comments! I think it is a buckhorn cholla after looking at Julies link.
