Good Morning Morning Glory

While my son, Zach, and his beautiful bride, Heather, said their wedding vows in an orchard in Ohio, the Morning Glory seeds they sent me for Mother's Day finally sent up blooms in Arizona.

What a bunch of cheery photos!!! The flowers are really unique and such a pretty shade of blue! Congrats on your sons wedding!!!

When I started looking at your pictures, they reminded me of Winnie-the-Pooh's stoutness exercise song: "Up, down, up, when I up-down touch the ground, it puts me in the mood.." Of course, the rest of the song doesn't really make sense with the pictures, but perhaps it could be tailored? Or maybe I'm just crazy?

Lovely pics! I really enjoy morning glories!

Hi Dee,
I love morning glories--but--they are illegal here in AZ and are considered a noxious weed, mostly because they can destroy cotton crops. All species are illegal-- except Ipomoea carnea, or Mexican bush morning glory; Ipomoea triloba, or three-lobed morning glory (which is considered a restricted pest)and Ipomoea aborescens, (morning glory tree)and Ipomoea triloba L.(Three-lobed morning glory).
If it wasn't for the restriction, I'd have a wall of the same Heavenly Blue Morning Glory that you have!

Awwww, As Aiyana (and others) have pointed out my lovely Morning Glories are illegal here. No wonder I've not seen seeds here-my son sent these from CA (innocently of course). Guess I will take some last pictures and then they will have to go. I'll stick with Passion Vines....boo hoo! :(

Just when I was thinking I wanted some Morning Glory in my yard.....didn't realize they were illegal.
Love Tucson! I live in the Phoenix area.

How beautiful - I love the way you've got the translucence and the effect of the light!

It's good to be back and visiting all my human bloggy friends again!

Morning Glories are my favorite flower. I would plant them outside my window when I was growing up. My neighbor down the block has some and I really enjoy when they bloom. Great pics.
