First August Sunrise for SkyWatch Friday

It has been a really busy week for me at work and I haven't had time for much more than a quick walk through the garden each morning, and about a half hour spent watering each evening so you can bet that I am really looking forward to the weekend and having some time to dig in the dirt!
I was up early this morning, as usual, so I caught some pictures of the sun coming up for SkyWatch Friday- I hope you enjoy!

Great shot... love the cactus in the shot. So interesting... I have never been anywhere where cacti grow wild.

I love the cholla against the cloudy sky. Seeing the size of this cholla, I'm beginning to think maybe I planted mine in the wrong place! I'm going to have to keep an eye on it and keep it trimmed down to a managable size. (shudder!!!!)
