After the first bud took so very long to open, I wasn't even expecting to see the second one anytime soon. I was out watering this afternoon and happened to glance over at her to discover both blooms wide open. I guess temps reaching 80 speed things up just a bit!

How marvellous! The colours of the blooms really stand out against the grey green.
Wow, that is the most awesome looking cactus and the flowers are so gorgeous! I've never seen anything like it. :)
beautiful... that must be one happy plant! Congradulations! I wonder if it will go to seed?
Whoa....how cool is this???
So interesting to follow this plant from bud to bloom! I hadn't seen one in bloom before, and had no idea what to expect. If I'd had to make a guess before-hand, I wouldn't have thought it would be so daisy-like, or fringe-y. Mind you, I don't know what I WOULD have expected. What a nice surprise!
What fantastic flowers! I want to try lithrops now. I have read so much about how difficult they are--especially to get to bloom. I am inspired and hope I can do it too!
It looks so alien, not at all like what you would expect from a plant. I'm really hoping to incorporate more succulent plants into my landscape because we tend to have recurrent drought conditions here. It's funny that you commented on my blog today. I almost put a picture of a prickly pear cactus on my post to "make a point." Thanks for stopping by!
Tell us your secret -I wish mine would bloom! It's awesome!!
What a beautiful bloom! The plant itself is really cool too.
