April Roses

The pink and yellow roses that came to me with my home are just gorgeous again this year. Even the crazy wind we are having hasn't done too much to them, as they are in a protected area by my house.
I tried planting some bare-root roses but not many of them have done very well. Then I learned that bare-root roses are not good for my area- live and learn I guess! A couple of them have lived, but they sure don't bloom like these older ones.

Unbelievably gorgeous! I haven't had any luck growing roses in the desert.

Looks like they get some shade. Do you also water them a lot. That is why I haven't gotten any--I don't want to use too much water.

Yes- they are on the Northwest side of my house, and get some morning sun but lots of shade. I do water them quite a bit- I have most of my higher water plants on that side of the house so that area tends to get more than the other parts of the yard.

Just beautiful! Unfortunately my roses have suffered both wind and sun scorching. I was able to get a few photos this week of some new blooms before much damage happened. Do you know the names of your roses?

Thanks everyone! I've no idea what they are Aiyana- I thought the yellow one had a tag that broke lose a couple months ago, but now I can't find where I put the tag. The pink one has never had a tag.

GORGEOUS roses! What is it about this arid climate that the roses seem to love?

Lovely roses! Mine are blooming now too but I've not shared them yet this year. Maybe I'll do that one day soon.
Hugs and blessings,
