Spring magic in February

When I was a kid, growing up in South Dakota, a rare spot of warm weather in February was cause for rejoicing.  More often it is cold and snow and ice in February, as it was last week when I was back visiting my dear Mother.  However upon returning to Arizona I found Spring waiting for me.  My Hibiscus finally opened the bud that has been slowly growing all winter.

The Catalina Mountains still have a dusting of snow, and with recent rains in town, a new layer of snow in the mountains!

The snowy mountains are just a pretty backdrop, while in town my Hyacinth continue to grow- I should see flowers soon.
My much babied Hydrangea is starting to put out fresh green leaves for Spring. I can't wait for the blooms on this 2 year old plant.
I can't remember the name of these bulbs but they have lovely flowers....

My little Mescal Bean trees- almost 2 years old now!
buds on the Red Headed Irishman Cactus.

Passion flower buds marching along the twine to the bird feeders.  When these bloom it is going to be so pretty!

There are many, many off shoots from the main vine- it didn't die back this winter, just slowed down and now with the warm weather it is going to town.
New Canna leaves coming up.

I think this is a yellow Jasmine vine...can't recall for sure but flowers are starting.

I'm jealous of your red-headed dutchman cactus! I have one that looks just like yours but no buds. Yours may get more sun than mine. I'm hoping the buds will show up later this spring.

I'm feasting my eyes on your greenery. WE are very dreary here, can't wait for a spot of green to change the scenery!

The Red-headed cactus is very cool! My garden only has a couple of odds and ends, but nothing this extravagant. Thanks for the inspiration, I think I might look into adding some "pizazz" to my garden
