Spidy Tim and the Prickle Pickle Twins

Happy Cactus Monday! I would like to introduce one of my littlest cacti that put out a bloom over this last weekend. His name is Spidy Tim and I "think" he is a Gymnocalycium denudatum. He also goes by Spider cactus because his thorns look like little spiders. Since I can't seem to keep track of proper names- I just call him Spidy Tim.

Anyone remember way back when these little cacti started growing next to my Parodia? It was almost a year ago when these little guys first popped their heads out of the soil. I thought they were Parodias but another blogger warned me that they were probably something else. Well they are still growing and I've dubbed them the Prickle Pickle twins....don't they look a bit like tiny pickles?

Happy Cactus Monday- To see amazing artwork and photography with a prickly slant please visit Teri's Painted Daisies.

Spidy's Tim's flower is gorgeous. The Prickle Pickle twins do look like tiny pickles. I've had some of those pop up in my yard but they didn't do so well.
