Once again the sweet little tree in my neighbors yard. The leaves are almost all gone now, except for a skirt at the bottom. They are yellow now, but a brilliant green in Spring and Summer.

not sure, but it looks like elm to me...
great tree..reminds me of charlie browns christmas tree..
Ooh - this one's got me! I'll ask old Gnarly our gardener from Neckmoor Cottage.
It does look lovely - and somehow familiar too, the way the branches are formed.
I haven't got an ident on the tree yet - but it must have been working in my subconscious, and has inspired my next post!
Maybe some kind of locust? Does it flower in the spring? I know what you mean about coveting neighbors' trees. There are some majestic live oaks nearby.
Has it ever fruited? The veining and the way the leaves are spaced, even it's form looks like a jujube.
It looks similiar to a persimmons tree...if it produces a tomato looking fruit...but the branches crook so perhaps a chinese elm?
